Sylphs
Sylphs
A whole new concept to the world of Wartune: Sylphs, mystical creatures that aid you in battle! They are just like mounts but then not passive. It's still in the early stages so this guide might not be complete but I will keep you guys updated. Let's start with what they can do:
Stats: Sylphs are connected to you own stats, just like mounts. They level up when you do and with levels, their own stats increase and you also get points to distribute on 4 different aspects which you are quite familiar with now: Strength, Intelligence, Armor and Endurance. You can define your character more now when you keep your academy, your mount and your sylph in mind!
Leveling: Like I said in the previous part, your Sylph gets experience when you do. This only applies to your active sylph. With some quests or events you can also get a sylph xp scroll, which gives your active sylph 100.000 experience!!! Most use it on their main sylph but if you are going for a balanced team of sylphs, you can choose to use it on one of your lower ones.
Possibilities: There are all kind of possibilities with sylphs. Knight and Archers without a healing rune can now use the Sylph Iris to heal themselves! Mages who are specialized on heal can now use the Sylph Pan to deal some serious physical damage. You can also choose to make a team of Sylph's for every occassion, like a tank for those fights that will really take long or a damage dealer to kill your opponents quickly. Even though you have a lot of options I would personally recommand to have one balanced main sylph that is fit for your own attributes.
There are three Sylphs until now: Pan, Iris and Apollo. Unfortunately I don't have any information about Apollo since I just saw it in action and don't have it myself. So I can just explain Pan and Iris now:
Pan
Those who loved the old mythical movies like Hercules, Xena or other movies that had to deal with Greek mysticallity know this figure. Half man, half goat that happily plays with his harp or flute in the forest. In Wartune he doesn't dangle in a forest but behind you. This Sylph mostly depends on physical attack and recommandable as main sylph for a knight or archer. As far as it goes for me he has 4 attacks. His main attack, that simply attacks one random player with wind. His gust attack, the most basic attack. Cyclone, the third attack hits all with tornado's and can hurt when you upgraded Pan properly. The last one is the delphic attack, that attacks all. This sylph is very recommandable if you want to do hard physical damage.
Iris
The goddess of the sky and sea and the link of humanity with the gods, Iris. Another figure of Greek mythology. I think Goth33 secretly has a hand in Wartune :O. This Sylph depends on magic attacks and can also heal. This sylph is perfect to be the main sylph for mages. Why? Because Iris depends on magic attacks and heal. Mages can boost their stats even more now with this sylph. She attacks with water, has one healing spell and a powerful delphic. This sylph is recommandable main sylph for mages and a very recommandable secondary sylph for knights and archers because they can heal.
